Network Planning
GIS based network planning allows planning engineers to create a plan using tools and symbols and save it as a shape file. Application allows planning engineers to sketch points, lines, area and text in the planning module. All sketched objects can be moved, manipulated and deleted. It generates BOQ on the fly which helps to do estimations concurrently. Plan the route from City Gate Station to customers.

Construction Management
Progress of all the construction activities like welding, lowering, hydro test etc can be seen real time in just a single click. During construction, report of each activity is entered using handheld/desktop along with the respective GPS co-ordinates. Assets and fittings like valve, coupler etc are mapped along with their specifications and inspection reports. Daily progress report, Welder Performance, Pipe-book, Pipe reconciliation are automatically generated by the system with linked inspection and material documents. A dashboard showing the Progress – Planned vs Actual (MWP) shows the percentage of actual work done against the targeted work. Real time progress with color codes is reflected on Web GIS.
Inventory & Asset Management
Mapping of all city gas distribution assets including joints, valves, fittings, regulators, stations etc. Using GPS/TS, the asset coordinates would be captured.All the CGD assets like Valves, Coupler, Regulators etc are mapped real time. View attributes along with the associated reports in just a click. Option to generate unique ID’s of each asset using standard nomenclature. Alerts for maintenance, warranty, calibration, end of life are configurable.

Customer Mapping
Each customer is linked to the network. Facility to send alerts and messages directly from the application is present. Search the customers from the application based on City/GA/Block/Apartment. Thematics having distribution of customers, demand analysis, CNG stations etc helps in doing analytics for better decision making.
Safety and Emergency Response
This module helps in managing planned and unplanned outages. In case of a planned outage, identify valves to be closed, list affected customers and send alert SMS/Email. In case of an issue/unplanned outage, operator of centralized control room receives complaint from the customer/security, logs the details in the system. SmartGasNet then identifies the problem location in the GIS window panel. Complaint ID is generated that is now visible to the complainant, nearest control room engineer/ authorities for problem resolution. The mitigation process is logged using handheld application by the engineer.

Project related documents like material test certificates, specifications and procedures uploaded in a predefined master document index. Application is easily configurable based on each vendor’s scope of work check list. All the documents are filtered according to various categories and sub-categories. Helps in verifying if each process is being followed as per the defined scope of work and is being completed in sequence.
Pipe and Material track
The Barcode/RFID based material tracker system shows a relative study of number ordered versus number delivered and used in real time. Helps in the journey management of each pipe or long lead items from manufacturer to its various check points of receipt and finally to the point of installation.

Field Survey and Mapping
Adequate manpower, equipment and field experience would be facilitated in locating and identifying pipeline related features and capture them, including coordinates of each joint and attach relevant attributes to them as per the construction records.
